Youth Fishing Challenge

The hunting and fishing show is held once a year to raise money and to announce the new records and Youth Fishing Challenge winners. This year I was asked to come because I was Top Angler of 2018. I think my favorite part about it was meeting Ralph from the Odyssey, a Bluefin Tuna star on Wicked Tuna.

The Youth Fishing Challenge is a calendar year fishing challenge for kids 15 and under. Last year I didn't find out about the challenge until June. I entered it and caught 9 out of 22 fish on the list. January 18, 2019 DEEP emailed me to tell me I tied with 2 other people for the top spot. I got a bag of fishing gear and a plaque. I entered it again this year and I have already caught 7 species. I am hoping to to win again. If you would like to enter, this is the link for the DEEP Youth Fishing Challenge.
